What we want

What we want… (Mission Statement)

We want to help implement human rights worldwide as stated in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of the United Nations and the associated conventions.

We oppose

  • land eviction, suppression, marginalisation, racism, political, religious and ethnic prosecution and genocide.
  • economic and cultural exploitation resulting in violation of basic human rights.

We support the people’s right of self-determination and protection of cultural identity according to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.

We particularly work with indigenous peoples and groups and support their rights according to the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.

We work on behalf of environmental protection as destruction of the environment frequently goes along with the deprivation of a people’s means of existence and thus constitutes a violation of human rights.

We support other groups aiming to implement and protect their human rights. In consideration of the correlation between human rights and environmental protection we see it as our duty to create awareness of human rights related consequences of raw materials exploitation and power generation and also to point out and support environmentally acceptable and socially compatible alternatives.
